PhD Students

Ronan Bellouard, MD, works on the impact of stress on the level of intestinal carriage of MDR Enterobacteriaceae and on its translocation under the joint supervision of Eric Dailly (MiHAR) and Matthieu Grégoire (UMR 1235 TENS - The Enteric Nervous System in Gut and Brain Disorders and MiHAR). He also works as a Pharmacologist in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Lab of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nantes.
Guillaume Chapelet, MD, is currently pursuing a PhD on the interactions between the digestive microbiota and Parkinson Disease under the joint supervision of Laure de Decker (MiHAR) and Pascal Derkinderen (UMR 1235 TENS - The Enteric Nervous System in Gut and Brain Disorders). He also works as a Geriatrician in the Geriatrics Department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Nantes.
Niki Hayatgheib, DVM, is pursuing a PhD under the joint supervision of Didier Lepelletier (MiHAR), Hervé Pouliquen and Emmanuelle Moreau (both at UMR BIOEPAR, Oniris). She works on alternatives to antibiotics in the fish industry, towards a decrease in the development and diffusion of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in fish, its environment and fish farmers.
François Javaudin, MD, is currently pursuing a PhD on phage therapy of the intestinal carriage of MDR Enterobacteriaceae under the joint supervision of Eric Batard and Emmanuel Montassier. He also works in the Emergency Department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nantes.
Quentin Le Bastard, MD, is pursuing a PhD on the impact of antibacterial regimens of pyelonephritis on the intestinal microbiota and intestinal carriage of MDR organisms under the joint supervision of Eric Batard and Emmanuel Montassier. He also works in the Emergency Department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nantes.
Murad Ishnaiwer, is pursuing a PhD in Medical Microbiology aiming to use probiotics and prebiotics to treat digestive colonization by MDR organisms. He obtained his master degree in 2013. Between 2016 and 2019, he worked as a lecturer of biology at the Palestine Polytechnic University. During this time he worked extensively on isolation and molecular characterization of novel bacteriophages associated with MDR Klebsiella pneumonia and avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC). He also had internships at Bonn university, Germany and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Canada. He received a PhD allocation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and started his PhD in Nantes in 2019.
